Fun Fact Friday

The Tree of Life. In the book of Genesis, God places the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the Garden of Eden, where the tree of life stands as a symbol of God's life-giving presence and the fullness of eternal life available in God. It is also said that the Tree of Life symbol represents our personal development, uniqueness and individual beauty. Just as the branches of a tree strengthen and grow upwards to the sky, we too grow stronge

7 Kingdom Council

A group of seven men and women who dispatch judgement on those who have broken the universal rules throughout the Realm. The universal rules include many found in today's society in the Real such as murder. When Nadine vanquishes the Dark Lord at the end of TWO WORLDS, she does so without permission and without justification, or so the Council says. They set out to punish Nadine in the best way possible without sending her into the Void. If you have read RISE OF THE DARK LORD

Fun Fact Friday

The dream catcher is a protective talisman that is used to protect people from nightmares and bad dreams. The charm was usually used for young children and hung above their cradles or beds. Native American cultures believe that both good and bad dreams fill the air at night. The dream catcher acts like a spider's web by trapping the bad dreams or visions while allowing the good ones to filter through. The bad dreams caught in the web get destroyed when the sunlight of m

Wednesday's Wisdom

How true that is. How many times have you fought the good fight in your dreams only to be disappointed when you woke to reality? How many times have you said things, did things in your dreams that you wish you could when you were awake? Dreams are what we hope and fear out of life. Dreams are powerful conduits for our hopes and wishes. We need the next generation to dream more instead of settling for the reruns or reboots from our generation. Create something new where nothin

Character Spotlight

The Dark Lord Soubackalou of the Shadowland, son of Aaron of January and the half brother of Kyle (AJ and Anotnio's father) and Ian (Nitro's father). Lou was conceived when a mischievous succubus set her sights on Aaron. Lou was raised in the hard fiery corners of the Shadowland by his mother. He found his way to become one of High Lord Evil's most accomplished Dark Lords. Despite being half human, Lou embraced his darker side but it was his human side that devised the insidi

Fun Fact Friday

Premonitions, a strong feeling that something is about to happen, typically something unpleasant. Prophecies are written versions of premonitions. Down through the centuries our society and in every religion has been riddled with premonitions. Don't believe me? Catholics call it Revelations in the bible. Islam provides 15 different prophecies from Muhammad about things to come. Tui Bei Tu is a Chinese book of prophecies written by Li Chunfeng and Yuan Tiangang. Ever hear of N

This was just a couple weeks ago but still fits the bill. My baby girl sitting there reading the bible. Not just reading the bible but taking notes. She has been at that off and on for a couple weeks now. Why? Well, first she loves to read just about anything that catches her eyes. More importantly though, she is worried about if she is good enough to get into heaven. No, you read that right. My 8 year old is wondering if she is good enough to get into heaven. The question is

Wisdom Wednesday

Feeling a bit drained this week but nothing great ever happened by giving up. So I find this quote a bit inspiring this morning. For those out there following, no words could be truer today. Follow your dreams, work at them. Don't sell yourself short no matter who tells you it is not good enough. Dream on, Dreamers!! #lodw

Topic Tuesday

For today's topic I would like to discuss the Elders. These are the highest ranking individuals from the Holyland. These men and women have spent years, their entire lives actually, dedicated to the study of knowledge and spreading the word of the Great Maker. In terms of the Real, they would be considered priest and nuns. In the Realm though these people are much more. Nearly everyone in the Holyland can demonstrate at some level the ability to use magic. Why is that? It is

Emotions can get the better of us. In Book 2 - Nadine has to battle with losing her child but not just to nature, to her arch nemesis. Not being able to talk with her best friends about it takes a toll. I think this song shows part of the mental turmoil going on inside Nadine as she deals with that loss and the rise of her greatest enemy. https://youtu.be/Gd9OhYroLN0 If you didn't see yesterday's post, we are having a giveaway for Book 1 starting April 1st via Goodreads. Sneak Preview Sunday

Trying something a bit different. As some of you may know, this is a planned twelve part series I am doing for Last of the Dream Warriors. It begins as the saga of Nadine Ruth, a princess who doesn't remember who she is or where she is truly from. We travel through two different worlds with her, learning about her struggles and triumphs. We learn of love and loss. This series is not just about Nadine though. This story is about a family who has been at the center of every maj

Fun Fact Friday

Oneirophobia is the fear of dreams, first originated in The Dream Frontier, written by Mark Blechner, a neuro-psychoanalyst at the William Alanson White Institute. The fear is suffered commonly due to having nightmares or dreams affecting their normal lives. Sufferers would try everything to avoid sleep, like watching television, movies, playing video games, reading books, newspapers, and magazines, exercising, and making conversations. Oneirophobia can be treated by for

This is a shot from the first time I took my baby girl to the library in our neighborhood. Its a small place, probably the size of two row homes. She loved every minute of it though. She loved being able to go to the shelves and pick out a book for herself. She loved being able to sit at the tables and read that book. She loved being able to borrow the book to finish up at home. She was impressed that day. I wish I had a picture of when I took her in town to the big library.

Weekly Wisdom

Carl Jung has a way with words, and dreams. He did study them after all. We will talk more about Jung another time though. Today, lets look at his words. Personally, I think what the man is trying to say is if you really want to do something in life and do it well the idea has to not just be in your head but in your heart. The universe will not just hand you everything you ant in life. You have to first envision it and then go out and do it. Dream on, Dreamers!! Make those dr
